Stewardship Days
Ages: 4+
Program Opportunity:
- Pick up trash
- Clear brush/trail work
- Gardening & Painting
- Clear invasive species
Volunteer Opportunity:
Serve as site coordinators and/or participants for annual spring event and ongoing efforts.
Storm Drain Stenciling
Ages: 7+
Program Opportunity:
- Spray paint storm drains
- Hang information cards
- Pick up trash
Volunteer Opportunity:
Groups of 4 or more canvass neighborhoods to distribute educational materials and stencil storm drains.
Benthic Monitoring
Ages: 8+
Program Opportunity:
- Collect & identify macroinvertebrates
- Take stream measurements
- Classroom opportunities
Volunteer Opportunity:
Groups of 2 or more collect and identify organisms to assess stream habitat. Training available. No experience necessary.
Time:
Program: 1-3 hours
