Detailed Directions
From Flint: I-75 north to Vienna Rd. (M-57), and turn east through Clio. Follow Vienna Rd. east to Saginaw Rd (M-54), and turn north for about 0.1 mile to Hurd Rd. (Hurd Rd. goes SW to NE here.) Turn right on Hurd Rd. and go about 0.7 mile NE to Morgan Rd, which will come in from the left, and turn left. Stream is on Morgan Rd. 100 feet north of Hurd Rd.
(Note: If you follow Hurd Rd. all the way to McCumsey Rd, you’ve gone too far. Turn around and go back!)
(Also note from Fall 1999: Dogs are present at house across from access point on stream. They seem to be behind an electric fence. Owners called dogs into house while we were there, but did not come out to talk with us. We did not approach homeowners.)
Stream flows southwest here, so to access stream from upstream side of road, work from the east side of the road – across from the house.
